The seed of St. Flora School was sown in July 1999 with a handful of children and two teachers in a rented house on MG Road, Thandla. Madam Clemency Dodiyar Tirkey, the founder and torch bearer, has carried the school through all these years with vision and untiring zeal. The school started with the name ‘St. Flora Foundation School’ (SFFS). This was the first English medium school ever started in the town. The efforts of SFFS were well appreciated by the parents which encouraged the team to carry further on. The school shifted to its present location on Nawapada Road, Thandla in the year 2003. The school has seen its growth from SFFS to St. Flora High School (year 2008), and subsequently to St. Flora Senior Secondary School (year 2010) under MP State Board of Education. The school got its affiliation to CBSE, Delhi in 2015 up to 12th standard.
